Spring Break 2012

I love Spring Break.  I think I love Spring Break even a bit more than Christmas break.  Not that I don't hate the fighting and the whining that is inevitable with that many little personalities stuffed into a tiny space, because that's driving me up a sheer wall!  But I love the unincumberedness of it (don't you love it when I make up words?).  I love that the vein in my forehead isn't throbbing by 9am during this week, because it doesn't matter if Zerin gets ready on Zerin time or if Aeden gets distracted by every fluttering sunbeam that passes him by, or if Liah chooses to change clothes 5 times...it's all good this week!   :)

I love having my whole family home.  I love just being together.  I love having planned activities too, and those definitely have their place, but I like the mundaneness once in a while.  I like teaching my children that no one else has an obligation to entertain them...they share in that responsibility.  I love working with Bryan...I wish we could get paid to just live at home and be together, but that's not the plan :)

It is a nice rest before the insanity of the next 6 weeks hits:  baseball season, soccer season, a wedding shower, a graduation, a wedding, hiring season (although that is probably not a big deal because there are no retirements that we know of so we can just relax and put our hopes in next year), field trips galore, and don't forget garden planting season!

These few quiet days are exactly what I needed and wanted, hopefully the kids aren't too bored :)

On another note, the last day of school is only 57 days away :)
