Okay, so it's pretty much a month late...but are any of us surprised it has taken me this long? I didn't think so. A few weeks ago, my
sis-in-law arranged for us to stay at a family friend's cabin for the weekend (Thanks again Danelle!!!).
I really wanted to surprise the kids, and by George, I did it! I managed to pack while they were at school, and as soon as Bryan got home, we loaded them in the van to go. I may have let it slip to Aeden that we were going on a picnic (which I could have let THAT be the surprise he was so excited) just to see who he'd tell. Naturally, all the kids somehow figured out that we were going on a picnic so Bryan and I played along. Not until we pulled in the driveway of the cabin did they know for sure what was happening. The happy screaming was so worth all of my self-control and secret planning :) It was chilly and drizzly most of the time, so we spent a lot of time inside, but it was wonderful. We had so much fun just relaxing together, playing Wii together, and eating together. We went on a hike, found the funnest little playground in the local town, drove around the lake, and went to church in a local ward.
We all had so much fun, it was the perfect little getaway for our 'little' family :)

| We took advantage of the clear weather and went for a little hike behind the cabin to some ponds and a little stream. The kids HAD to have their picture taken on the hill. This picture does not do justice to how big that hill is when 6 months pregnant carrying a 30lb toddler and holding the hand of a 3 year old. Just sayin'... |

| At the pond...Bella walked Alex a lot of the way. She was so enthralled by the water, Bryan couldn't get her to turn around to say cheese. We didn't expect the dog to pose however :) |
 |
| The super fun playground we found in Eden. Bella did NOT want off the slide. Eventually it started raining, or we'd probably still be trying to pry her off the silly thing. |

| Asher showing off his skills on the tires... |
 |
| Zerin, trying not to be outdone by Asher :) |
 |
| Isn't this just so cool?! Bryan and I love old buildings. When we were first married, even after we had Zerin, we would keep our camera in our glove box so we would always be prepared if one popped up on our trip. Notice Liah's absent smile? She refused to smile unless she was by herself....oi vey. |
 |
| Zerin, striking his favorite Jimmer pose...at least that's what he calls it. |
 |
| And THERE'S her smile :) |
