4 Weeks Old...

No way...I can hear you saying it. But yes, it's true. My little Bella is 4 weeks old. I had to check the calendar last night because I couldn't bring myself to believe it either, but it's true.

Considering she has colic, she is a very good baby. For a couple weeks, she cried almost non-stop. Not fun. All the little tricks and suggestions people gave me to help her would help for a minute, and then she'd be back to crying. My mom-in-law suggested she may still be hungry. "Inconceivable!" I thought, "She eats constantly!" But I was getting desperate, so I tried feeding her more often and longer. Whether I'm just her human binky or if she really was still hungry, she is doing a lot better. She still cries a lot, especially at night, but she doesn't seem quite as miserable as she did, which is wonderful!
Yesterday, I was holding her after the other kids went down for bed, and she fell asleep on my shoulder. That NEVER happens, it was awesome :)

All of the disorganizational nightmares I had before I had Belen are coming true...my life feels a little out of control right now. I'm hoping some semblance of order will be restored to our home, and soon. Between feeding her constantly, diapers (lots and lots of diapers), homework, errands, blah blah blah, I'm just falling behind. My list of things I have to feel guilty about triples on a daily basis it seems. But, in spite of all of that, I would do it again in a heartbeat. She is such a blessing to me and our family... it's hard to imagine life without her.
