Tonight I sat at my dinner table...listening to 4 simultaneous conversations. Usually this behavior drives me nigh-insane, but tonight was somehow different.
I listened to Zerin, the boy destined to be the greatest at something, rattle off fact after fact about his latest infatuation.
I listened to Liah describe the snowball fight that "accidentally" happened at school and how funny it was.
I listened to Aeden say "please" 3 times in the same sentence in the hopes that would make food appear faster on his plate.
I listened to Asher growl in delight as I gave him more lasagne. As the meal progressed, and different family members got up to leave, I watched him stealthily migrate to different plates to scrounge his favorite parts of the leftovers.
I looked at Bryan, and smiled, realizing there was no where in the world I would rather be in that moment.

Love moments like that. It just feels so GOOD and RIGHT.
That was such a cute post! I would say that it almost made me cry... actually I will say that! I love families!
What a great post...
When I first started reading it, all I could think of was... "These mashed potatoes are sooo creamy. Mary mashed them."
Ah... the days gone past, right? ;)
You've got a precious family.
I would have to agree. It's the best thing in the world.
Those 'tender mercies' of life every so often are those things that keep you going. So sweet.
