Liah's Graduation

Today was Liah's Preschool graduation. For the past few months we have done a little mom's co-op preschool and it has been such a blessing for her to stay close to friends from our old neighborhood, and at the same time to have a gentle transition into kindergarten.

I bought little graduation hats (oriental trading!!! my friend had a pattern, but I was feeling pretty lazy by this time), we made little diplomas, did a little slide show of them with all of their pictures from throughout the year, said the pledge of allegiance, signed each others' year books, and got their diplomas. I think their favorite part (besides refreshments at the end) was seeing themselves on the slideshow on TV.

It was a fun, fun day :)

In some ways, I feel like she's already 14...in others, she's still my baby so I'm a bit conflicted about this whole growing up thing, as you can tell.

A side note about Liah, she is getting so excited for her baby sister to come. Yesterday, I found her carting up dozens of baby shoes to her room. When I asked her what she was doing she matter-of-factly told me she had to get her baby sisters clothes all ready. She hugs her (my belly) goodnight every night, and talks about all the fun things they are going to do together once she gets here. I hope this excitement holds out, because I love seeing her this happy about something.

That pre-school thing is such a fun idea. My mom did one for us when we were little and I loved it! I think it is so cute how excited Liah is. She is such a sweet girl!

That looks like so much fun (and a lot of work). Liah's a cutie! And it sounds like she'll be a great big sister to a girl--hopefully that will last even when she's a teenager and her sister is borrowing her clothes without asking! Yeah, I'm speaking from experience--but I was the one borrowing clothes--I was such a great little sister! Sisters are so fun!

Liah looks so grown up! Congrats on having a baby girl! I'm so excited for you. If you are ever in my neighborhood, you can bring you and your children anytime. How old are the 2 younger boys now. You moved out of the ward right after you had your 3rd baby. Hope all is well!
