February 10 - The Ballet....chapter 4

Yes, this is still story time, so bear with me. Spoiler alert: It only took 2 weeks beginning to end, so it's really not that long of a story, promise!

I was surprisingly nervous for the Ballet for someone who didn't care about boys anymore. When Bryan picked me up, I felt my animosity for males melt a little...he was very cute, in an arrogant sort of way :) When we got to the theater, we made our way to the front of the theater. Yes, that's right, the front.

Now for orchestra events, plays, and even monster truck rallies, you want the front row. The detail you catch that you miss from the balconies is an out of body experience. Well, the same thing is true with a ballet, but to be honest, the last thing you want in a ballet is an out of body experience. We were on the fourth row!

The costumes were amazing, the ballerinas exquisite, the props perfect, and ah...the music! but as the ballet started, I noticed Bryan looking at me more and more. At first I thought, that's strange, but as I realized what was going on merely inches from our faces, I understood why. For those of you who still don't know what I am talking about, go to a ballet...it won't take you long to figure it out. For me, the ballet is best enjoyed a few more rows back :)

Intermission came and we were both a little anxious to get away from...yeah. So we went to the lobby and walked around. We talked about normal first date nothing talk. But it wasn't awkward at all...quite the opposite actually. And, he wasn't arrogant! He was nice, and sweet, and seemed to actually care about what I thought and said. As the bell rang to go back in, I found myself not only dreading...you know what...but also the end. I did not want this night to be over. It was one of the best too-good-to-be-true moments of my life.

I am ballet clueless. Never been. MAYBE some day. But no time soon. So you will have to fill me in on the THAT and the "you know what". I'm at a loss.
