Alrighty, here is the info on our Mission: Possible FHE. I know there's probably an easier way to do it, but since I tend to do things the hard way, you'll have to figure that out on your own :)
Basically, I had 12 "items" I wanted them to find. These 12 thing would help them on their mission home to their Heavenly Father, so thanks to my sister and brother in law who played mission control (I sent them the script of the texts ahead of time that they could forward, and then changed their name on my phone to mission control) the kids got a secret message on my phone as soon as it started. I gathered all our dark clothing and sunglasses...okay they were 3d glasses but it still worked.
The 1st message had directions to the location of the mission envelope (you could easily do gps coordinates for older kids, I just chose to keep mine more simple) along with a code word to identify the first clue. In the mission envelope I had pictures of the 12 places I had hidden the items along with a code word. So for their first clue they got "alpha" so they had to look for the pic labeled alpha.
That happened to be a pic of their grandma's house, so they went to the front door for the clue where a picture of our family was. On the back was this quote and the word "Tango". “Our most important and powerful assignments are inthe family. They are important because the family hasthe opportunity at the start of a child’s life to put feetfirmly on the path home. Parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles are made more powerful guides and rescuers by the bonds of love that are thevery nature of a family.” Henry B. Eyring, “Help Them on Their Way Home,Ensign, May 2010, 23. We discussed how we are sent to a family to not only help us get back home, but to help each other. They then went to the mission envelope and pulled out the clue "Tango." Does that make sense?
Here are a list of the other hiding places, items, scriptures, and code words I used:
Tabernacle, Scriptures 1 Nephi 19:23, Zulu
Church sign, Church Church books, D&C 59:9-10, Foxtrot
Bishop’s house, Picture of 1st presidency, D&C 1:38, Victor
Elementary school, School Books, D&C 130:18-19,Bravo
Neighbor's front door, Candle, Matt 5:14-16,Yankee
Different neighbor's garden, Seeds, Ether 12:6 /Alma 32:21, Sierra Jones
DIFFERENT neighbor's front porch, Cell phone, D&C 10:5, Romeo
Piano teacher's piano, Hymnbook, D&C 25:12, Oscar
Greenhouse door, Carrot & alarm clock, D&C 88:123-124 / D&C 89, Kilo
Temple gate, Lightbulb, Moroni 7:16-17, Lima
Family room (in here we had quiet music playing with slide show with pictures of Christ), Picture of Christ, Moroni 7:45, Text "Charity" to mission control
Sorry for not having pictures of each little thing, Mission Control didn't have the budget to hire a photographer, and Mom and Dad's hands were a little full trying to pull this all off :)
Once they text "charity" to MC, mission control then sends them a congratulatory text back with directions to the dining room where a plate of cupcakes waited for them.

What a great idea for a fun FHE! Love it!
Um...cutest idea EVER!! I'm impressed. They will remember this forever.
WOW. I'm not sure what else to say. That is awesome-makes me feel sheepish for my hurried reading of a Friend story the other night for FHE, followed by a quick song, prayer, and oreos. :) Awesome idea Tiff, I love it!
Ah, this is so sweet and fun! Thanks for sharing!
