distractions.

We had the best weekend ever...and once I can wrangle the camera from my dear husband, I will tell you more about it.  We couldn't have asked for a better distraction.
Today is another interview...a big interview for Bryan.  I am excited.  I want to throw up.  I feel peaceful.  I can't focus.  I KNOW if it's supposed to happen, it will.  I know if he's supposed to do something else, that way will open up, even if it's not at all what we are expecting (he has another interview in the morning for a job that fits this description perfectly).

I know I fully expect to be eating the entire day, so that nice little 45 lb weight gain I was sporting will be more like 55 by tomorrow night when we hear the results.  Eating is my distraction of choice.

On another note, we got back from said awesome weekend to enjoy a weird distraction.  There is now a HUGE crater on the back side of our little handmade rock waterfall/pond where one of our big rocks and some interesting plants of note once resided.  Don't worry, I wasn't mad, I just think it is so so funny, because less than 4 feet away there was a pile of pretty big rocks they would have had to have taken little to no effort to haul away.  Our bbqer, lawnmower, bikes...everything else was untouched, but there is this huge crater in our yard now (which only our neighbors can see because it faces away from our house).  Talk about weird, random, hilarious, did I say RANDOM things to have happen?!  The kids have made no secret to their faithful followers about the fact that that is where they have spent the last year burying their treasures, so they are CONVINCED someone heard the rumor and went looking for it.  I just hope alleged rock-nappers weren't too upset when all they found were tiny bags of "special rocks," little army guys, and other special treasures that only a child could love.  It's so weird and funny at the same time, and it's given me something else to think about...I love distractions.  Distractions are awesome :)

Sometimes prayers are answered in a way that we don't expect. The "other" opportunity may not be something that Bryan has given a lot of thought about, but who knows...it could be part of the bigger plan that we cannot see! Good luck to you and your family. You are in my prayers.

That is too funny that you had little treasure hunters raiding your yard! I LOVE that your way of dealing with things is eating all day, that is how I deal with things too. Good luck tomorrow! It will work out how it is suppose to! No matter what direction Bryan goes in he will do GREAT!
