Saturday I had my high school reunion. It's so fun to see old faces again, but for some reason, I revert to that dorky quiet girl I used to be, so I'm glad they only come around every 5 years or
so :)
Monday was the beginning of our weeklong summer camp, Camp Monson. That's a whole other post in and of itself, so when I have time to post pics, I'll give you the low down. Soooo much fun though! :)
Monday also brought an out-of-the-blue call from Salt Lake school district...Bryan had another interview. Just in time too, because I had just made peace with our situation, and was starting to enjoy our summer together.
Tuesday, was more summer camp, and in the evening, we got a request to do flowers for a funeral...no problem, right :)
Wednesday was more summer camp, and also the interview. It went well. I also had our Relief Society Dutch Oven social that I was in charge of. It was fun...I think. I really abhor getting up in front of people. Give me jobs, make me move tables, but please oh please don't make me talk! That evening, right before I left to go set up, Bryan got a call to interview with the superintendant the next morning...the final interview! I was 99% positive that it was finally our time, and that our waiting, quasi-patience, and ridiculous addiction to hope had finally paid off. It's only the 6th school he's interviewed for this year!
Thursday (today) ...more Camp Monson....funeral flowers...interview....found out he didn't get the job.... blah blah blah.
.... and now, I'm here venting instead of sewing the parting gifts for our campers.

Oh, I love you my amazing friend! Hang in there and keep putting up with the disappointments and keep enjoying the amazing good things that happen. You are one of the BEST people I know.

Hang in there it sounds like the week for the most part was good leaving out the funeral and job. I am sure your kids enjoyed all of the attention.
My cousin, Becki, said they called you to do the flowers because they loved what you did for my mom. I also LOVED what you did for my mom. I loved that you were willing to help them, too. Thanks again. Love you!
Aw, what a huge bummer. :( Glad to hear your summer camp was a success though, yay!!!
It was so delightful to see you last weekend. And for the record, I don't think you reverted to a dork, because you never were one. :)
So we don't know each other but I was sitting here looking up ideas for my lesson in church for next week and stumbled on your blog. I just wanted to let you know that I had a similar week last week. I had my soccer camp for my son and my other kids were in swimming lessons, a daddy daughter bbq with the young women, also serving a lunch for 60 people etc. (you know just the normal stuff). Then life happened - my husbands grandma passed away (and our little family of 6 sang at the funeral), and my husband eagerly awaited to find out if he got a job with the West Valley Fire Department. He had all of the interviews and we sort of thought that he would get it. We found out yesterday that her did not get it. My point to this story... I really felt comforted that as we are going through a crappy time (for a minute) someone else that we don't even know if feeling the same way and is getting through it. It makes me realize that here in the church especially we really are in this together. I hope your week next week is better. Good luck to your husband. I am sure there is something great out there for him. We will pray for you guys.
Love - Jennica
