Okay, so about 6 months ago, Bryan bought Photoshop Elements because, well I'm not sure why other than I told him I "needed" it. I needed the ability to make beautiful birth announcements, christmas cards, and the like. I needed it to be a whole person *cough, gag, sputter, choke*. After seeing all of the BEAUTIFUL things my many uber-talented friends (see her, and her, and her, and oh let's not forget her and her...there are more hers but you get the point) have made with this program, I had full confidence in my abilities to figure it out, because I'm awesome, right?! Alas, no. I'm more technologically challenged than I thought I was (which is saying something) and other than turning things black and white and sepia, I'm pretty much stuck. I know awesome people that teach classes, but I'll be honest, when am I going to have time to take a class in the next decade. I appealed to Bryan to help me put something together, but he has short term memory loss I've decided, because anytime he gets on the program, he's just fiddling with HIS pictures and seems to have forgotten all about my pleas for help. The nerve that his world doesn't always revolve around me ;)
Now Belen is a few hours shy of two weeks old and still no birth announcement. So I admit it, I need help. I need someone to show me the reader's digest version of PSE, if there is such a version. I have little to offer any who would be willing to teach me some basics, other than my undying gratitude, cookies, or a chance to cuddle the cutest newborn ever :) Consider this my shameless plea for help. (I must be desperate, because this sounds really whiny...I'm annoying myself!)
Oh, and as a sidenote, I'm really terrible at returning calls lately. So for those of you who have called and wanted to stop by, come on down! We're pretty much over our gunk, and would love to see any and all that want to make the trek to our neck of the woods. We've loved our visitors so far, and I feel bad if I've made people feel like they can't come over cuz I never call them back. Again, I'm shameless in how I get back with people, but if I can use this excuse of "I just had a baby," I might as well get some mileage out of it, ey ;)

I can help you put something together, it would be fun. I also have a photoshop for dummies book if you wanna borrow it. I'm not calling you a dummy, though. For the record.
Oh, and I've seen your house and all the cute creative things you've done. You are so mistaken to say you are not creative. I don't believe a word of it. Not a word!
Oh, girl... you use that "I just had a baby" Card for as LONG as you can. My philosophy = MILK IT, BABY!!!
btw - I don't know how to use photoshop, but I just got Stampin' Up!'s digital software & it's very user friendly! YAY!
If Christy doesn't help you do something with it in the next couple of days SERIOUSLY let me know and I would love to drop by and help you. I love photoshop, and although I'm far from an expert at it, I can definitely handle the basics. I use the PSE and Photoshop CS on a regular basis.

I also would be happy to make you an announcement my friend. It would be an honor. ;) Don't stress about that stuff... you JUST had a baby!!
:)Sure love ya Tiff
i too would like to offer to make your announcement (haha, since i'm in the biz now - and of course it would be free of charge!)
however, i would love to give you the RD version of Photoshop. I can hold my own by now thankfully.
I do plan to stop by tomorrow sometime. It'll probably be early or late afternoon and I wish I could be more specific but it'll be around Tink's naps. I'll bring Nat and her and Leah can have a party. Better yet, perhaps I should just bring my pak n play and let Tink sleep there while we go through Photoshop. What do you think? Give me a call on my cell in the morning and let me know. She naps around 2.
