Day one, and all is still well :)

So things are going pretty smoothly, I must say! We got off to a bit of a bumpy start when one of the younger kids fell and got a little bruised up...but he was running around after dinner, so I'm keeping an eye on him and basically not letting him out of my sight :) It is so cute how everyone who is older than 3 considers themselves a mother, and is just right there to take care of every little thing with all the younger kids...even mine! They are great kids.

Asher STILL has a fever...I don't know if I've mentioned this or not, but it started LAST Sunday, and it just goes up and down. I took him in last Thursday. He had fluid in both of his ears, but they weren't full blown infected yet. But I decided to have them put him on augmentin just to be safe since his turn to ear infections super fast. But yesterday, when it got back over 102, I had Bryan take him to our doctor at 7pm which, hello...he's like 3 blocks away...love it! Anyways...I have to take him in to have some lab work done today. Hopefully it will all come back okay. One thing about our family, they may not know what's wrong, but tests almost always come back negative :)

As you can imagine, bedtime last night was pretty funny. The little little kids did super good, except that Aeden kept one of their older kids up for a while because company to aeden = someone to entertain...even when he's fighting to keep his eyes open :) The older kids (namely mine) tried to sleep, they really did. But there is something about laughing hysterically that prevents ones eyes from shutting, or so I'm told. It was a bit after 11, but when I did my final rounds, they had all finally passed out. They are going to be loving it when I wake them up in a half hour :)

I just want to know how YOU get up so early! I have great intentions but it never happens!
Bumps and bruises - they happen - no worries!
So glad that everyone is having fun - and I hope that Asher starts feeling better soon, poor guy!
