It's 2 am and my baby has a horrible cough. It wakes him up crying every hour or so. So sad. When I fall asleep, I dream he can't breathe, so I'm saving myself nightmares by watching him sleep tonight.
There's an Urban Myth/Old Wives' Tale I have had some success with. Before bed (or any time really) slather Vick's Vapo-Rub all over the child's FEET (and chest), put on socks. I do it when I have respiratory problems and I do it to my kids. It really does seem to help, even though, logically, it probably does nothing. Plus it really softens foot calluses, if nothing else.
That is the worst! I have also done the vapor rub, just on their feet though. I think it worked. Good luck, and you guys are making great progress on your house!

We do the vapor rub thing and I'm sure it works. I could even tell you why it helps. Sorry he's not feeling well, poor guy.
