Today's happy thought...

We had some friends over the other night for hot cocoa following our city's Electric Christmas Parade...which if you haven't been, wow, what a treat!  The kids loved it, and it was Christmas Americana at it's finest.  I loved it!  Can you believe I've lived here as long as we have and I've never been?  Shameful!

So anyways, our friends.  They have 5 kids, plus their daughter had a friend, and Zerin had a friend, so that put us at 12 kids running around.  Our house is always loud between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm, but this was even a tad more than I was used to.  The noise doesn't really bother me when it's just me, I think I am used to it by now.  But I have noticed that I worry A LOT that it's bothering other people...like a lot.  So when my sweet friend just seemed oblivious to the noise, I think I literally let out a sigh of relief.  She may never know how her actions and body language blessed me (unless of course she reads my blog :)), but those are the gifts that may help me survive this crazy mommyhood thing ;)
Oh, and I have a darling new baby niece...isn't she beautiful????

Noisy kids are good because it means they are there and they are yours! That's what I tell myself. ;)

P.S. I love your noisy kids. Who wants, calm, boring kids who sit still and don't have any personality. Besides, I don't think they exist anyway!
