Happy Halloween!

We had so much fun on Halloween together!  I was a witch.  In spite of my constant bouts with grouchiness, I kept telling the kids I was a good witch (I'm not sure if they bought it).  Zerin was Percy Jackson from his beloved book series.  Liah was Hermione from Harry Potter.  Asher was Harry Potter himself.  Aeden was Luke Skywalker (I felt like Aeden's uncanny ability to whine made Luke the obvious choice!) ;)  and Belen as I've mentioned before was a cute cuddly little bunny.

SIDENOTE:  She started full blown walking this week!!!!  She looks like a little Frankenstein toddling everywhere she goes...she's adorable :)  The kids are having so much fun making her show off her new skills.

We went to go see a sweet neighbor lady first who is now in a care center close to our home.  She was SO excited to see the kids all dressed up, it was a lot of fun :)  The weather was starting to turn so we hustled, but we were able to go to a fun party, and do some trick or treating with Daddy before the weather turned.  There is a cute older couple in our neighborhood that the kids have kind of adopted that we went to see.  It was so cute, the kids were having so much fun playing with his cute halloween toy that they almost forgot about the candy :)

As it started to rain, we ditched Daddy and the two youngest kids, and Zerin, Liah, Aeden and I went out for some hard core trick or treating in the pouring rain.  In spite of our awesome umbrella, we were all drenched pretty quickly, but it was so much fun :)  Zerin kept telling me he would never forget this Halloween ever in his whole life.  To quote him exactly, "This was the funnest Halloween EVER!"  I don't know if it quite met that description, but it was a lot of fun :)

Aeden was hilarious...you know those little hard candies that the wrapper looks like a strawberry...usually grandma's and grandpas give them out?  Well, he got one of those and he literally shouted for joy!  "A strawberry candy Mom!  Can you believe it?!"  I have instilled low expectations in my children :)

Now it's November 2nd.  My pumpkins are shriveling, and my Christmas music is blaring.  I love fall :)

Awesome! It was great to see the boys on Sunday at church. Can't wait to get together this week some time. Seth and Sarah are looking forward to it. Hope Liah is feeling better.

Such cute kids! I love how you incorporate service into what seems like every aspect of your life. Seriously, you are my living example of that - so thanks! It was strange and actually fun to trick-or-treat in the rain wasn't it?
