I have lots of catching up to do, but our camera is temporarily MIA. So until we can retrace the steps of the last user, we'll save those stories for later :)
My sweet friend, Heather, gave me some of her apricots and I made jam and nectar the other day. Like one of my friend's told me, there are few sounds as satisfying as that little pop the lids make after you've processed your jars. And they look so pretty sitting on your counter, I have a hard time wanting to put them away ;) My friend, Karie, told me about a new pectin she uses and OH MY STARS it is awesome!!! It's by Ball, and it uses 1/3 of the sugar, and is way easier. And you know me I LOVE sugar, but seriously, this tastes way better than any other jam I've ever made. It tastes more like spreaded fruit than syrupy sweet fruit....DEEE-LISH!!! I was pretty skeptical, but after trying strawberry and now apricot, yeah, I'm sold, I'll never go back.
Me and a couple of my friends are getting ready to put on a clothing swap, and I'm so excited! So yesterday, I went through ALL of my bags of clothes and all the kids closets, pulled out the swap clothes, put away keepers, switched sizes, you know the drill. The kids thought it was Christmas :) Their closets look so pretty right now, and I now have 3 huge bags of clothes for the swap, and two bags of clothes too hashed to even send to DI...love decluttering!
The kids did a lemonade stand last week...they made $31.40. It was cute to see them decide as a "committee" how they were going to spend the money. It was even cuter to see them decide against buying things to save up for bigger things. I love lessons like that they can teach themselves.
I decided to start another private blog to document Bryan's illness a bit better. So many times his symptoms just seem to be a giant jumbled mess, I think this will really help me to sort through things, and track it better.
So that's where it's at...I can't believe it's almost August. I wish summer would last forever.

Sounds like another bunch of ill thought out ideas. Maybe you should let me do the thinking.
Wow! You sound like me when I was well :P
Want to visit me in Canada for a week and help me get organized? Actually...I think you'd need a month :P
