Well...

Well, my over-the-top optimism didn't quite pay off...yet :) He didn't get the job with Davis. Turns out he was only interviewing for Columbia, which that was surprising, but I just think Bryan is not the cookie cutter administrator they are looking for. I feel bad the district will be missing out on a great leader, but I am excited to see where this road takes us...as long as it's not to bankruptcy ;)

Sorry! All those schools just don't know what they are missing. Dave would LOVE to trade his principal for Bryan.

I love your optimism! Just think of how much interviewing experience that Bryan has now... and how much that's gonna help him with the next school district he applies with! Still keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!

Well, and by the way I hope all of Davis District employees read this, THEY DO NOT DESERVE HIM!! The Lord will take him where He knows Bryan will be better suited than for Davis. Kinda felt the same way several years ago. The teachers with the best 'children' skills are meant for 'higher' purposes than Davis has the ability to offer.

Bryan has a "magic" with kids and people that I get to watch every day. I don't have to imagine what he has, I get to see it, to trust it, and to ever be impressed by it. I don't have to sit across from him at an interview table and guess (although, obviously, I have interviewed him). I believe, however unfortunate, that it doesn't really matter the school or school district, one day the special gift of magic he has will get him his principalship. He has the love and support of a good wife, kids, family and friends. He is still very young and has so much to give and will continue to unselfishly give it every day. In the end, it's all about giving to and guiding kids, and supporting staff and teachers....encouraging them to give their best. I know what the other schools are missing, and to Bryan and Tiffany and all Bryan's family members, I would like to express my love and appreciation for what Bryan has done for me, our students and staff, and for fostering the loving and caring culture of our school.
