Tax returns are a beautiful thing. I spend months planning and plotting how exactly we are going to spend it once it comes. I make lists...lots and lots of lists. Most years there is a fair amount of debt to take care of, but we always have been able to have a little left over to get a little something something. This year, our washer and dryer were going on the fritz, so a new set was 2nd on the list (after the debt). Then, the camera and the printer were broken, so replacements for those were next up. The kids have been growing like their drinking miracle grow or something, so new clothes were also on the list. And last but not least, maybe, hopefully, probably...
A lawn :) It's almost more happiness than my little heart can take when I think of green in my yard. Asher hasn't had a yard he could just play in since he started walking, so I am so so so so so excited. I know I shouldn't get so excited over something so, material, but oh, the joy bubbling up inside of me when I think of cleaning up grass stains instead of mud :)

I think its perfectly ok to be that excited over something so small. I think a lawn is a necessity. And its not for you, its for your family. So you are good!
Wow, that's a good tax return. :) Enjoy!
I would be coveting a lawn if I were you too. We're the same way with tax season. See just how far behind we have gotten with all the unexpected things that we can't seem to budget in somehow and then pray there is enough left over for a little somethin' somethin'. Usually a home or yard project...this year it's a trip. Even though it's a cheap trip over spring break, it's probably all the money we will have left. But yay to lawn and all the other fun stuff your tax return will bring! :)
