Some funny stats and preggo rants...

So, two weeks ago at my appointment, my doctor estimated that the baby was weighing around 6 1/2 lbs. Last week, he said she was weighing about 5 lbs 15 oz. Today, he guessed 7+ lbs. It's obviously not an exact science, but it will be interesting to see how big she ends up being.

I'm at what he termed a 3+...I was a 3 for a good 3 weeks with Asher, so that number didn't mean much to me today. But then he said she has dropped way down, and he didn't expect me to make it to next week's appointment. He took a long time checking me (I wasn't feeling good, so I was thinking Are you done yet???) Turns out, he's like, she's ready to come so I just stripped your membranes. Oh! I've never had that done before...one out of fear, and two I just didn't want to force my kids to come before they were ready, which is kind of ironic because I've been induced with all 4 kids. But I trust him totally, and I'm secretly glad he did it because if she really is that big, I really don't want to go another 3 weeks, I just don't want to cause her problems by making her come early, that really makes me nervous. As it is right now, I'm feeling pretty crappy, but not what I would classify as full-on labor...I just don't know. It's like it's my first baby, and it's all new territory for me. I'm a little nervous because my hospital is 40 minutes away, without traffic, so, yeah.

As it is, I'm trying to file all our papers so that if I die from the stress of not being able to plan this whole thing, Bryan can at least pay our electric bill :)

That Dr. Bierer is a sneaky guy! Everything will be fine, it is just hard because this time you may not know exactly when you are going to have you baby. But it is very exciting to go on your own!

And if it makes you feel any better, my midwife told me that you can strip the membranes, but if the baby isn't ready, she won't come. It is exciting to start on your own. Good luck!

Oh, Tiff, it sound like you've had a rough pregnancy, so I hope for your sake that your doctor is right! And 3 weeks early isn't bad, I'm sure she'll be fine. I can't wait to hear Bella updates! Good luck and hang in there!

Good luck! I hope it happens quickly-but not so quickly that you can't make it to the hospital!

My dr stripped my membranes with Jack.... I still had to be induced a week later. I sure hope it works better for you than it did for me!
