I think I have finally committed to going scrapbooking this weekend with my cousins. I've been back and forth about going...mostly because I feel horrendously guilty for leaving Bryan with the kids for a full day and a half, but my extreme behindedness in my scrapbooking is pushing the guilt out of my mind enough to make me get ready to go. I'm on 2007...barely.
When I lived in Layton, I would go scrapbooking at least one night a month with some friends in my ward and neighborhood. That at least kept me above water :) When I moved to Bountiful, I went with some of the ladies in my new ward, but everyone kept getting so busy, it was hard to find a time to get together. In this ward, I haven't heard of anyone doing that. And I don't know if you have ever tried scrapbooking during the day with kids...but yeah...doesn't work so well :). So I'm down to going once or twice a year to try and get it all done. It's worth the $50 that's all I can say :)
It's awesome because they hold this event at a hotel, so you don't have to go to sleep unless you want to, and a room is included in your fee. You can get there in the afternoon on Friday, and leave at 9pm on Saturday. Last year, I had Asher with me, and I got 22 pages done, which for me is awesome. So I have high hopes of at least finishing 2007. There is another one a bit later this year, but we'll have to see how everything goes for this one before I commit any further.
I was getting ready to download a bunch of pics for printing when our computer crashed...again. So now I'm kissing up to Bryan so I can use his work laptop. Maybe it will have a miraculous recovery...or maybe Ed McMahon will send me a check. Either way, ready or not, I'm going on Friday, and I'm excited :)

I miss scrapbooking! I don't ever do it like we use to! That sounds like a blast! Have so much fun!
yeah for you! I love scrapbooking, but like you said - no one in this ward seems to have time to do it - either that or they just don't like me enough to include me in their fun! (j/k). I just got back from the expo this weekend and had a BLAST! All my stuff is still on the table with hopes of continuing for the next few days, but with L running around, I'm not so sure that will happen! Have a great time this weekend - you deserve it!
If it makes you feel any better, the last thing I did in my scrapbook was my son's birth--which was 8 years ago. I think I need to find something else to do with my photos & keepsakes. The scrapbook thing just isn't happenin'! Good luck to you and may you get that whole year behind you!
