Getting ready for our open house...

So, I'm planning on doing an open house once the house is finished. Not that it is a fancy house or anything like that, but completing a project like this deserves a celebration, don't you think? I was going to do it in March, but fun story...

The man that built our house, William Hill, back in 1877 is our next-door neighbor's grandpa. They are anxiously awaiting their mission call (it should come in the mail tomorrow) and have been told to expect to leave sometime in April...SO...

We thought it would be fun to gear the open house around their farewell talk in church...that way, many of the siblings and cousins that will be traveling from out of state will be able to come.

We also just got our Utah State Historical Society Historical Marker Plaque last week, so it will be super neat to get a picture with many of the decendants of William Hill in front of the house now with that plaque that honors their grandpa. Many of them were raised in or even born in this home, so everyone has been really involved/excited about our renovation.

So stay tuned...I'll let you know when it will be. Hopefully lots of you will be able to come.

I've been dying to come see you and your brand new house, but haven't wanted to surprise you in the middle of a busy moment, so it will be fun to come to your open house! I didn't know that you had a house on the Utah Historic House Registry. That is super cool. You are awesome.
