So we had Ward Conference today. It was amazing. I won't bore you with why it was amazing, because it would probably get lost in translation, but suffice it to say, it was awesome (and I'm serious, I'm not being sarchastic here).
One of the things they touched on was coming more prepared for Sacrament Meeting and focusing more on the sacrament. A worthy goal, but one that with 4 very busy little kids, a lot of times, it evades me.
At one point during the Sunday School portion of the conference, one of the counselors in the Stake Presidency asked what some roadblocks were to these different pursuits. Someone said "my children." Okay, that someone was me, but I'm just being honest.
A couple hours later, in Sacrament Meeting, Asher would not sit on my lap. He was up he was down, which of course meant he kept getting bonked in the head by the pew. Aeden followed suit...oh the chaos. At least the two older kids were cooperating for the most part. The highlight of the meeting, was looking up at the 2 counselors in the stake presidency on the stand...and they were giggling at us. :) At least they have a sense of humor about the whole thing. Hopefully, I can keep mine... :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! YOU RUN A LARGE ZOO, IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL . . . YOU'LL BE CRAZY TOO!!! Ha ha all by myself! No plagiarism involved! I am so proud. But seriously happy birthday!
That's too funny! I've been less than quiet about my own chaos and reality and I too find smiles and giggles directed my way during sacrament. I sometimes wonder if they're not directed more at my husband though. There are way too many stories and inside jokes that we are part of these days thanks to three years as the Young Men's president.
