I usually really enjoy visiting teaching. I love getting to know people that maybe I otherwise wouldn't, and I love the opportunities it gives me to serve.
But.... (today is a "but" story)
Today, I went with my 3 younger kids, and oh boy! The first visit went fine without any major incidents, but the second visit was another story...
We got there, and first thing, I could tell I was in trouble, as this sister had a porcelein doll on the floor by her fireplace, and little glass knick-knacks on a marble coffee table. It only took about 10 minutes before Aeden and Liah were in a knock-down drag out wrestling match over who got which toycar...meanwhile Asher was on a mad walk/crawl to the doll by the fireplace. Then Asher's diaper rash started acting up again, so he started screaming (while the other two were yelling at each other over said car). This lady was so kind and sweet...I could see her trying really hard to not look like she was worried that my little angels were about to destroy all she held precious. I felt so bad! She is probably on the phone right now requesting a change. Oh well...next month, I'll have to take Bryan up on his offer to watch the kids when he gets home so I can go, huh :)

That's the worst! It stresses me out just reading your story. We've finally just decided Sunday is our day because trying to coordinate schedules and keep our kids from going crazy is almost impossible.
I hate those "Grandma" houses with all the breakable stuff, they are so stressful! Even for me just walking by, then it is about 1000 times more stress with little ones!
OOPS! Bring the kiddos over next time. They can play and you can visit in peace. We miss you guys.
Nate had a meltdown the very first time out. I have yet to make it out again...My partner has probably gone without me remembering happier times.
What are you going to do?
