So, no, I didn't get done in time for the cabinets...but it all worked out. Matt (the cabinet guy) worked around me until about 2 this afternoon, and other than the fact that he is uber-quite and I am uber-chatty, I don't think he minded too much :) So the bathroom and the kitchen are now painted. The kitchen will need some touch up around the windows and one door, but it'll do. I even went a little nuts and painted box that hides our vents where our chimney used to reside. It's now BLACK!!! Don't panic...it really does look good, promise :) I think my black wall may just be my new red wall (my red wall was my favorite in our old house). I love it. When I was in the middle of this painting predicament, the kids were interrupting me every 30 seconds (which, hello! can you blame them? I can't :)). I was getting a little frustrated, but I didn't even have time to call the 50 people that have offered to help. I walked outside, and one of my friends drove up, whisked my kids away for a couple of hours, and I was able to finish painting. I guess even faithless people like me can still get unspoken prayers answered :)
A bit later I got a call from our chimney guy, and surprise, he's coming a day early too (Thursday)! Normally I would be ecstatic, but once again, I'm not ready. I'm sure at the 11th hour it will all work out, but eeek. He's very good at what he does, but very type-A...so I have to be on my game to make sure he doesn't end up talking me into doing something I don't want to do, like, I don't know, maybe come a day early! :)
The stucco guy is coming tomorrow, and we're hoping things are ready for him. He told us to do some tricky thing with the flashing on the roof, and since we barely know what flashing is, we probably did it wrong, but we'll see.
Bryan has been doing what he can to roof, but it has been very frustrating for him. I seriously don't know how he digs down to do half of what he does, and most of the time with a smile. Yesterday my back and head hurt kinda bad from carrying Asher in the backpack all day while I painted and oh the whining I did! That probably wasn't a drop in a bucket to how he feels all the time, every day, and I think it's safe to say most people wouldn't know he was sick when they are around him. He's something else.
Then the cement guys poured concrete along the side and back of our addition. Didn't know they were coming, so that was a bit of a whirlwind, but it looks great.
All in all, a good day.

Wow Tiff! It sounds like things are really coming together for you. I think that's fantastic! Congrats! I know the real truth though... All these different contractors are just trying to keep up with you! You're wonder woman!
Amen to the Wonder Woman comment Carrie made. I stand in awe. I can't even talk myself into juicing some grapes. Don't know how you do it. Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel yet?
