My little trooper...

Today, Asher got to visit the doctor for his 6 month visit, and lucky boy got 4 shots! I still remember when Zerin was a baby getting his shots, and I would try so hard to fight back tears so the nurses wouldn't think I was a wuss. I am a lot more desensitized now than I was then, but I still caught myself fighting back the tears again as he just screamed and looked at me like, "What are you letting her do to me, Mommy?" I'm happy to report, we both survived, so yea! He weighs a wopping 18 lbs 15 oz now (which is 2 lbs less than I thought he weighed).

One other interesting note...last week, I was making some pizza dough, and some splattered on his face and arm while I was holding him, and he broke out in blotchy hives all over his face and chest. The doctor at first thought it was a wheat allergy, but since it was rice flour dough, that took care of that. So now he thinks he may have some adversion towards yeast. For now, he wants us to just keep him off of all things yeasty until he's one and then reintroduce it. I'm hoping it just ends up being a skin irritation or even an allergy that he grows out of. But hey, with all the allergies and food issues our family already has, he will fit in just perfectly.
